Payment is required in full with registration. We will notify you immediately if we are unable to accommodate your first choice. Otherwise, you will be contacted prior to your session starting date with medical release, final instructions and information.

For Adult & Youth registration, forms may be submitted via mail by filling out our on-line form ("Mail-in" form) and printing out and mailing the completed form with payment (check or money order) to the address at the bottom of the page.

Normally, for Adult & Youth programs, cancellation requests must be made IN WRITING more than 30 days prior to the start of each session. However, because of Covid-19, TACS will refund 100% of registration fees. Cancellation requests must be made at least 5 days before the first day of sailing session.

You will notice that the registration form is very different from our previous form. This season you will register the sailor not only for a specific session but  also register the sailor for a specific single person sailboat:

  • Opti Newbie, age 8, 9 or 10

  • Opti Returning, age 8, 9 or 10 (attended at least one TACS Learn to Sail session)

  • BIC, age 10, 11 or 12 (attended 2 or more sessions or with Program Director’s approval)

  • Laser 4.7 Radial Newbies, age 10, 11 or 12

  • Laser 4.7 Radial or Full sail, age 11 +, (attended 2 or more Learn to Sail  sessions)

  • 420, age 12 and over, has sailed Laser for at least 2 session or with Program Director's approval

The morning session and the afternoon session will have 32 sailors in each session, in order to comply with social distancing and the number of sailboats available for each ½ day session. Previous years the maximum number was 50 sailors in the AM and 50 in the PM.

What To expect when you arrive for each session:

As we follow the guidelines set forth by the Governor and the CDC it is important that we all be open, honest and flexible.  TACS asks that all participants be in the area for 14 days prior to the start of their session if coming from out of state to ensure the safety of our participants and their families, while continuing to remain open for the duration of the summer.

TACS asks that each morning you perform a health assessment just as we will be doing for all employees.  Please take a day off if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Fever (100.4 or higher)

  • Chills

  • Muscle Pain

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Sore throat

  • Nausea / vomiting / diarrhea

  • Repeated shaking with chills

  • New loss of sense of taste or smell

As you arrive please plan on answering a few questions regarding the health of your family.

  • Has anyone in the home been or felt sick or experienced coughing, shortness of breath, fever, sore throat or diarrhea?

  • Has anyone in the home been diagnosed with or been exposed to COVID-19?

  • Have you done any traveling that is prohibited by the then-currently in force Executive order?

  • Has anyone in the home been told to self-quarantine by a health care provider or County Health Department?

Further, TACS will be scanning temperatures with digital thermometers for all participants before the participants will be allowed into their group. Any with temperatures above 100.4 will be asked to take the day off.  All participants are required to wear masks while on land, including instructors.

What to expect upon arrival

As we attempt to limit the number of bodies passing through our teaching areas TACS will have a car-line drop off. As you come around the circle drive for the boat launch please stay in your cars, do not park, and expect the following:

  1. Answer the questions above when prompted by a TACS instructor

  2. Get a scan for temperature which will be recorded each day

  3. Child will join their instructor / class along the driveway.

  1. beginning / newbie optis

  2. returning optis

  3. Bic

  4. Beginning / newbie laser

  5. Returning laser

Please join the instructor holding the number sign that corresponds to your child’s group / class. Drop off should happen from 8:45-9:00 in the morning and 12:45-1:00 in the afternoon.  At the end of class each day, your child will be with their group / class in the same spot as drop off. Please pull around the circle drive and pick up your child.

IF ARRIVING BY BIKE, please park your bike on the  rack, put on your mask, then proceed to a TACS instructor for daily health questions and a temperature scan.  From there you may join your group if permitted.

What to bring:

Please remember to apply sunscreen prior to arrival. Have a backpack with towel, water bottle, snack, sunglasses, hat, closed-toed water shoes (or old tennis shoes, we do not have extras on hand) and a lifejacket. (if you need a lifejacket, TACS has some and will assign one to you for the entire session.  You will be expected to take it home each day and then bring back every day for class). And of course a mask for COVID-19 safety.

Thank you for your cooperation and adherence to the guidelines for participation.  It is important that we all do our part to ensure the safety of all and so that we can avoid any unfortunate shut downs. Now, let’s get outside and PLAY!!
